"Political systems aside, what can nurture truthful, nonviolent and pure-hearted people? The building of lasting peace depends on how many people capable of self-restraint can be fostered through religious practice. If a religion is worthy of the name, and if it can respond to the needs of contemporary times, it should nurture in its followers the spiritual basis for becoming good citizens of the world."

Daisaku Ikeda, 'For the Sake of Peace,' p. 23

'The Buddha in Your Mirror,' a new, practical introduction to Nichiren Buddhism has just recently been released to widespread praise and interest. The first book of its kind to be published in the United States, 'The Buddha in Your Mirror' explains the ancient wisdom of Buddhism with contemporary idioms and examples. Both seasoned practitioners as well as those unfamiliar with Eastern philosophy are finding this book a valuable addition to their reading lists, as it helps everyone discover the Buddha that's in their mirror.

Now available from your favorite bookseller or on-line at:

'The Buddha in Your Mirror' co-author Greg Martin will be in Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. this month signing books at several local bookstores and presenting a free lecture in each city.
